About the Role

This person is a self-directed individual with a passion for New England FIRST programs. We are looking for an organized project specialist to set project goals and ensure that the project is completed according to schedule. The project specialist is also responsible for scheduling meetings and documenting project decisions.

To be successful as a project specialist you must have excellent planning skills. The project specialist must also have professional communication skills.

Requirements

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop or modify project plans and track their progress

  • Survey distribution and data collection for grants and programs

  • Clearly communicate project goals to other team members

  • Create reports for our management team and presentations for our FIRST community

  • Build relationships with schools, school districts, and community organizations

  • Direct calls, invitations to events and activities, creating and joining in existing events and activities to get schools and new teams interested

You will be working closely with a number of the New England FIRST staff, including:

  • Massachusetts Program Delivery Partners: FLL, FTC and FRC

  • New England FIRST Staff Team

  • New England FIRST Senior Mentors


Expectations

A knowledgeable project manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and time management skills. We are also seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

  • Excellent communication skill both orally and in writing

  • Flexibility to travel around New England depending on the time of the year
