NE FIRST Week 1 Encore: Hartford District Event

Updated: Mar 31

FIRST Robotics Competition teams in New England are amped for event season! Each week we will see at least two district events across our region, and one week will even host week three events at once!

Hartford Public High School in Hartford, Connecticut, was excited to host 33 teams from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut (and even outside of the NE FIRST District from New Jersey!) for this Week 1 New England FRC qualifier.

Our executive director Michael Fantom gave welcoming remarks, reminding teams that to FAIL is really just the First Attempt In Learning.

The penalty-free high score of 88 in qualification matches was surpassed in playoffs where it reached 93 points. We saw crazy competitive playoff matches, with the finals seeing Alliance 4 take on Alliance 3 and bringing home the gold as event winners.
