FIRST Robotics Competition in MA: NE SE Mass District Event

Updated: Apr 14, 2023

Featuring robotic "judges" and tons of tie-dye, FRC returned to Bridgewater, Massachusetts during Week 1 of the CHARGED UP season!

Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School in Bridgewater, MA, was excited to host 35 teams from Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and of course Massachusetts for the 2023 NE District SE Mass Event.

Special thanks to guest speakers from Southcoast Hospital, Dr. Danilo Decio and Dr. John Mills, who shared information about the da Vinci surgical robot by Intuitive with the audience.

The National Anthem was performed each day by BRRHS sophomores in the musical theater program, Raynwater Players: Emma Theodore on Saturday and Lauren Coleman on Sunday.

Teams were excited to interact with three Boston Dynamics Spot robots, two from the the U.S. Army and one from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.

We saw incredibly competitive playoffs matches, with a new district high score of 149 points in match 11 and the finals being decided in not 2, not 3, but 4 matches between alliance 2 and alliance 3!
