WPI brings New England FRC teams together every year since NE FIRST was founded

There are only two qualifying events left in New England...and next week is the New England District Championship!

This past weekend, WPI hosted 38 teams from Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont for the 8th WPI District Event, and the 10th event overall: they have hosted the District Championship twice!

Special thank you to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), the WPI Robotics Resource Center, and Dean of Undergraduate Studies Arne Gericke for welcoming us to the venue.

WPI is at the forefront of integrated robotics research and education with the Robotics Engineering Department, which is the first-of-its-kind in the U.S.

The alliance captains of Alliance 1 and 2 had a great score of 210 together in qualification matches, but they formed their own alliances going into playoffs to see how their own strategies would play out. Alliance 1 scored more than 200 points in all of their playoff matches, including a NE playoffs penalty-free high score of 227!
